How to Create & Manage Teams

Before inviting Developers and Team managers, it's important to first define how you'd like to organize your teams. Creating teams is the first step in setting up your org structure. If you aren't sure where to begin, we recommend reviewing this article Team Set-Up Recommendations

• Add New Teams
• Manage Existing Teams

Add New Teams

1. Navigate to Administration then select Team management 
2. Click the Add Team button
3. Fill in the following details:
   1. Name: The name of the team
   2. Team Size - Optional: The maximum number of users you can add to the team
   3. Active from date - Optional: The date the team becomes active. If left empty, it defaults to the current date
   4. Active until date - Optional: The date the team and its users will be automatically disabled. If left empty, the team will remain active indefinitely 
4. Click the 'Create team' button

Note: All available languages/frameworks will be enabled for all teams by default. This setting isn't editable. 

Manage Existing Teams

• Edit Teams
• Enable/Disable Teams
• Delete Teams

Edit Teams

To edit any of the existing teams, just click the ellipses (...) and select 'Edit team'. 

You can edit the following fields:

• Name: The name of the team
• Team Size - Optional: The maximum number of users you can add to the team
• Active from date - Optional: The date the team becomes active. If left empty, it defaults to the current date
• Active until date - Optional: The date the team and its users will be automatically disabled. If left empty, the team will remain active indefinitely 

Note: All available languages/frameworks are enabled for all teams by default. This setting isn't editable. 

Hit the "Save team" button to save your changes 

Enable/Disable Teams

You can enable or disable any existing team based on its current status. Just click the ellipses (...) 

• If the team is enabled, the menu will show Disable team
• If the team is disabled, the menu will show Enable team

Note: All members of a disabled team will lose access to the platform.

Delete Teams

To delete any of the existing teams. Just click the ellipses (...) and select "Delete team".

A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click the Delete Team button to proceed 

IMPORTANT: Deleting a team will also permanently delete all associated team members along with their history and progress. This action is irreversible.

Once the team is deleted, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that you have successfully deleted the team.
