You might be here because you’ve been invited to complete an assessment and you’re wondering what that’s all about. It’s not a big deal. Just another chance to show off your secure coding skills.
Note: If an administrator or team manager has invited you to complete an assessment, you’ll get an email with all the details including a link to the assessment itself.
Step 1
Start at Home on the top menu. All assessments you've been invited to will be listed under the Assessments section.
From here, you can start and view the results of any assessments you’re a part of.
Alternatively, click Guided Learning on the top menu then click Assessments to reveal more details about assessments past and present. You can see assessments you’ve completed along with any that are listed as public assessments for your company or team.
Note: Assessments that are listed as public for the entire company or team will be available under both Home--> Assessments and Assessments screens.
From the list of assessments, you might notice a few different statuses.
- Active - You can start or resume taking an active assessment
-
Closed - You can view, but no longer complete a closed assessment
- Superseded - You can view, but no longer complete. A new version of this assessment was created has been created.
Step 2
Start by clicking an assessment with an Active status note
Step 3
From here, you’ll get more information about what the assessment contains. Once you're ready select the language then click Start
Tip: Before clicking Start make sure you've set aside enough time to try and complete the assessment in one sitting. It's a bit easier to do all at once.
The actual assessment challenges are similar to the ones you'd find in training and tournaments. Follow the same sacred 'locate, identify, and fix' concept and you'll do just fine.
If you don’t have any assessments listed yet, don’t worry. An admin or team manager will invite you to complete one soon enough and then you can bask in the glory of your results.
