One of the features supported in Courses is the ability for participants to skip challenges.
In this article, we'll go through what happens when a challenge is skipped and whether there is a way to track the number of times a user has skipped a challenge.
When a user skips a challenge, do they get a new challenge?
When the user clicks the skip button, the challenge picker will present them with a new challenge until all available content has been exhausted. Once all the other challenges have been completed, the challenge picker will begin repeating challenges, including those that were previously skipped.
Is there a way to track how many times a user has skipped a challenge?
All of these details are available in the "export all data" report which lists all the task attempts. From there, you can filter by the course name and the "activity status" field which can be one of the following 3 values:
All the details
Activity Status | |
Done | The user completed the challenge |
Skipped | The user skipped the challenge |
In progress | The user is still playing the challenge |
