Bulk Actions in Courses

Within the Courses section of the Secure Code Warrior® platform, you can perform a range of bulk actions to make quick and easy changes to any Courses you've created.

Note: You no longer need to work through Courses on a language-by-language basis to make the required changes in each language and each associated module.

Now you can:

• Bulk add a focus to several languages
• Bulk add specific vulnerability categories to several languages
• Copy a module from one language to several languages
• Bulk remove selected languages
• Bulk remove selected modules
• Bulk locking and unlocking of modules
• Bulk editing challenges and missions
• Bulk deleting activities

Bulk add a focus to several languages

To bulk add content to several languages, you can either add a new module from any of the existing templates or copy an existing module (or modules) to the selected languages. 

Adding a module from an existing template 

1. First, select the languages you want to add content to
2. Next, click on bulk actions, then click Add content to (the chosen number of) languages 
3. Click the Add new modules option, then click Add new module from a template 
4. Select the Template you'd like to use
5. Click the Add content to (the chosen number of) languages button

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Copy an existing module(s) to the selected languages 

1. Start by selecting the languages you want to add content to
2. Next, click on bulk actions, then click Add content to (the chosen number of) languages 
3. Click the Copy existing modules option
4. Select the language and the module (or modules) you'd like to add to
5. Click on the Add content to (the chosen number of) languages button

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Bulk add specific vulnerability categories to several languages

You also have the option to bulk add specific vulnerability categories (Injection flaws, Access control etc.) to several languages in a course module. 

1. Start by selecting the language or languages you want to add content to
2. Next, click on bulk actions, then click Add content to (the chosen number of) languages
3. Choose the Add new modules option, then click Add new vulnerability modules
4. Select the vulnerabilities you'd like to include
5. Finally, click Add content to (the chosen number of) languages

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Copy a module from one language to several languages

This option allows you to copy a module you've already created from one language to multiple languages.

Using this option can help unify the course experience across all the languages chosen, ensuring all participants are served the same type of content (videos, challenges, walkthroughs, missions... etc) even though they may be doing their Courses in different languages. 

1. Start by selecting the module you'd like to copy to other languages
2. Next, click the ellipsis ('...')
3. Select the Copy module to... option
4. From the languages popup, select the language(s) you'd like to copy the module to
5. Click the copy module to (the chosen number of) languages button 

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Bulk remove selected languages

You can also remove several languages from a course quickly and easily if you need to. 

1. First, select the languages you'd like to remove
2. Then, click bulk actions, then Remove (the number of) languages

Tip: You can use the language filter to select all the languages you want to delete 

Bulk remove selected modules

If certain modules are no longer going to be part of a course's focus, you can select all the redundant modules and quickly remove them in one go.

1. Start by selecting the modules you'd like to remove
2. Then, click Bulk actions, then click remove selected modules 

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Bulk locking and unlocking of modules

This option can be used to either lock modules or remove any existing lock conditions from selected modules.

Note: A module can be locked until course participants: 

• Complete the previous module
• Complete all checkpoints in the previous module

1. First, click on the ellipsis ('...') to expand all the languages for your course modules
2. Next, select the modules you'd like to lock or unlock
3. Click on Bulk actions, then click on lock/unlock (the number of) modules 
4. Choose between the two module locking options, or choose to unlock all modules (so there are no conditions for course completion)
5. Hit the Apply lock condition to the selected modules button

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Bulk Editing Challenges and Missions

This option allows you to bulk edit challenges and missions:

• Challenges: you can edit difficulty level, stages, checkpoints, and hints for multiple challenges at once
• Missions: you can edit difficulty and disable/enable hints for multiple missions at once 

1. First, select the language and modules you would like to edit
2. Next, click Bulk Actions, then click Edit activities
3. Edit the fields you would like to change for the selected challenges and/or missions. 
4. Hit the Edit challenges button to submit your changes. 

A message will pop up at the bottom of your screen to let you know your changes have been made.

Bulk Deleting activities

This option allows you to bulk delete activities  (challenges, missions, videos...etc) with just one click. 

1. First, select the activities you'd like to remove.
2. Next, click Bulk actions, then click Remove activities 
3. Click the Remove activities button
