👾 What is Cybermon?
Cybermon is a four-week interactive campaign where developers “battle” security vulnerabilities, personified as quirky, digital monsters called cybermon. Each one represents a common software vulnerability, brought to life with a unique story, signature move, and an exploit pattern.
To defeat a Cybermon, participants complete short secure coding activities on the Secure Code Warrior platform.
⚙️ How It Works
- A new Cybermon is released each Monday during October for 4 weeks
- Learners complete 3 activities to earn a weekly badge (all activities now count equally—1 completion each)
- Learners can become a Cyberhero by defeating all 4 weekly Cybermon
- Each Cybermon has an evolved, more powerful form: Cybermon Prime
- Learners who defeat all 4 Cybermon and their Prime forms become a Cyberhero Prime
🧬 Cybermon Prime: AI-enhanced Boss Levels (NEW)
Each Cybermon now has a Prime version, an AI-enhanced boss-level evolution.
Once a standard Cybermon is defeated, its Prime version unlocks. Prime Cybermon are harder, representing how vulnerabilities intensify in the AI era.
These tougher missions are optional, but great for experienced participants who want to level up and earn the Cyberhero Prime title.

- Weekly badges for defeating each Cybermon
- Prime badges for defeating each Cybermon Prime
- Cyberhero badge for completing all 4 Cybermon
- Cyberhero Prime badge for completing all 4 Cybermon and all 4 Cybermon Prime
🎁 Prize Draw Entries
Eligible participants who earn Cyberhero and Cyberhero Prime titles enter a random prize draw to win one of the mechanical keyboards.
- Cyberhero = 1 entry
- Cyberhero Prime = 2 entries
One entry or two entries into the random prize draw for limited-edition Cybermon 2025 swag (T&Cs apply).

📣 Promo assets & how to get involved
There’s no setup or registration required beyond adding users to the platform. Everything runs directly on the Secure Code Warrior platform. Promotional emails will be sent from the SCW platform, unless you have opted out of promotional communications.
To promote Cybermon 2025 internally, leverage the Promo toolkit for communication templates and visual assets.
Encourage team managers to create a little friendly competition of which team can bring most participants, and watch engagement take off.
Customers are also encouraged to run internal promo campaigns, recognising users who participate in Cybermon 2025.

Who can participate? |

When does it start? |

How do I defeat a Cybermon? |
Complete any 3 activities on the Cybermon page. Each activity counts as 1 completion. |
What is Cybermon Prime? |
Each Cybermon has a Prime version - an evolved, harder boss-level challenge unlocked after defeating the base version. Defeat all 4 Primes to become a Cyberhero Prime. |
How long are the activities? |
Each takes 6–10 minutes. Weekly badges take ~20–30 minutes. Prime challenges add ~20–30 more. |
Can users choose their language? |
Yes. Most major programming languages are supported. If a preferred language isn’t available for a specific Cybermon, users can switch to an alternate language to complete the challenge. |
Do developers need to register? |
No. Cybermon is automatically available to all Secure Code Warrior customers. A new Cybermon tab will appear in the SCW platform closer to October 6. |
How will learners know when it starts? |
Participants will receive email invitations when each new cybermon is live, unless you have previously opted out of direct communications to your users. To reinstate, please contact your CSM. Platform banners will also direct users to Cybermon 2025. |
Will activities be the same for every user? |
Activities vary slightly based on selected languages and content availability, but the core structure remains the same for all. |
Is there a time limit for individual activities? |
No. As long as users complete the activities before the end of campaign - 31 October 2025. |
Will results be shared with other organizations? |
No. Participation and performance data are only visible to your company admins and team managers within your SCW environment. |
| What do I get for participating? |
Cyberheroes earn 1 entry into the prize draw, Cyberhero Primes earn 2 entries. Prizes include limited-edition Cybermon 2025 swag. (T&Cs apply).

What do I need to do to activate Cybermon 2025 for my team? |
Nothing technical! The campaign runs on the SCW platform. All you need to do is invite relevant users to the platform and promote it internally to maximize participation. |

Yes. Company admins & team managers will have access to reporting dashboards showing:
